Guys, don't vatch feelings. Research shows that very, very small percent of plane crashes is caused by machine fault. HIGHER percentage is human error, for example Aug incident was likely to be the pilot who had previously been "whitelisted".

They were not new. They are very old Russian made that were bought from the Ukranian Military and refurbished in Czech Republic only 5 months ago.

The investigation report says the crash was caused by a marabou stork that flew too close to the hovering aircraft and the pilot didn't react appropriately. In fact on this video <<HERE>>, one can see the bird (on top right of video) flying towards the plane at 0.39 and then the plane loosing control. The Italian engineer from the aircraft manufacturer was also on board and confirmed this.

About 3yrs ago, Kenya bought 2 new A119 helicopters. Then one crashed in mathare hapo GSU while still brand new and the other one has crashed today in meru. The one that crashed today is the white chopper that has been patrolling Nairobi skies in the evening to monitor the curfew.
