While I feel sorry for Kibaki at this time. I cannot help notice that he failed to fix the health system, failed to equip and train personnel. Worse still, turned a blind eye to corruption that has wasted our health care, provided easy money for many to seek healthcare in the private sector or oversees.
There is no feeling as dying in a foreign land, the duress on self and family is unending. It would have been interesting to know what specialist care is in South Africa ... In end times vanity is vanity, everything is useless

Kibaki did the best he could do with the wreck dictator moi left. Vibrant economy which the digital duo are struggling to mess with their daily mega scandals funded by mega loans. The best president so far. quick recovery

He was Minister for Health for how long?

Those days when he was Health CS Kenia was still a struggling economy.

we always have excuses, ati he was the best president bar that small 07/08 issue, or that small issue of not improving the health sector, or that small issue of not taming the corruption that happened under his watch, I mean bar those small things he was the best.
I think so far we have not had a 'best' president, we are not even at a point of mentioning best presidency unless we are setting our bar so low.

lakini pole to him and the family, its sad when such happens to any one and family, wish him quick recovery.
