I do agree with Keraka. The route choice ain't bad but personally, i would do Nairobi -Naks-Londiani-Fort Tenan-Muhoroni-Kisumu (I find this route enchanting especially coming down the Nandi hills to Koru) and use the Kisii - Narok route as return. Where would i stay?. I have one favourite place and i never tire going back as they have very friendly staff, friendly prices and is situated in the quiet Milimani neighbourhood. Vittoria Suites!!!......Should you find yourself there, give my regards to the FoM, one Jared Omogi. Tell him you've been referred by Gukssmile Very friendly Jaluo and one who knows his job without doubtsmile .
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

That route is scenic. Take it and you won't regret. If you want to see large tea estates and Kericho town then use the Nakuru-Kericho-Kisumu route. Do not use the same route for return journey. @Guks. friendly prices and staff are not absolutes.

Agreed. If i were to quote everything, it would be one long list. Thing is, the positives outweigh the negatives. That's just me!

Yes the Londiani - Koru Muhoroni route is equally enchanting and the shortest by around 30 KM.Question is
was that Bridge which was washed away repaired?

Friends i intend to spend a few days with family in Kisumu city, kindly advise on the best route by road and hotel to stay

Welcome to Kisumu, for a place to stay depending on how your pockets are you can try acacia, Eco lodge ( very near the lake and inside impala park), Kiboko bay ( very good place too and next to the lake. Downside the road to the hotel is not very good). Away from the lake is The VIC. Enjoy your stay in Kisumu

Londiani- Koru mohuroni is full of bumps and the repair on the washed away bridge very slow no much has been done. The stretch between muhoroni and the Kericho Kisumu junction is also pathetic with many potholes.

Have they fixed the potholes just before you get to Awasi? Drove there in the rain and it was a nightmare.
