Kipyegon Bett, a world championship bronze medalist has been busted for doping.

Mambo yamekuwa marefu. In the last 3 months, at least 4 top tier Kenyans have been busted:

- Ruth Jebet, the 2016 Rio Olympic 3,000m steeplechase champion
- Asbel Kiprop: Olympic and three-times world 1,500m champion,
- Lucy Kabuu - Milan Marathon winner and Commonwealth games champion
- Samuel Kalalei, winner of Athens Marathon last November,
