Some things will never change. The fact of the matter is that ODM shortchanged itself in the negotiations and would like them re-opened. When RAO goes to the podium and says if not this,then elections,I am sure he understands what he is saying and he knows that the elections can only be called by the President and not by himself (this is assuming we are following the constitution). I am sure that he knows that there is no electoral body to oversee elections and his is only meant to electrify the masses. As an equal partner,let him storm Harambee House and sought out their differences there. As one Michuki would say,how will the public one when the solution is not with the public. Unless,the agenda is to excite and have the DJ-like coup in Kenya.

@Evolve

Spot on,this is another way of calling for re-negotiations.
Remember before Koffi Annan came it was the same language,even though they perfectly knew a repeat election was an impossibility.
Deja vu.

Let us not forget that Kenya is our country,MK and RAO will pass but Kenya will still remain.Let MK firnish his term he is half way through anyway and i dont see why we should keep on tearing one another.We have a wonderful working relationship here in the UK regardless of where one comes from.If i may ask my brother from the slopes what acheivements they have made since MK become the president most of them will say they are worse off same applies to my brothers from the lake.By the end of the day it is your hard work and not the politicians who will change your life,i was there and am taking from experience.As a people we need to change our attitude first then the rest will follow.PEACE

If ODM pulles out of the coalition,we do not necessarily have to go for election. The coalition will stand disolved but MK can still continue running the government. Only MK can dissolve parliament and call for elections. Most MPs are not for elections. And without ECK (IECK?) and voter register,elections are far off into 2012.

The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,but those of everyone who is hasty,surely to poverty.

agreed... identify new leadership first.. some revolutionary movement (minus recylced pple looking for power); but trouble is,power corrupts,. and absolute power corrupts absolutely..... the clause of 'recall' in the constitution is what we badly need before elections... not worry the costs because we will ahve so many recalls and byelections!!

@ogutu...

Wewe ameongea kama mtu kumi !!!!.

We really dont need to slaughter each other again for the sake of this guys. Think about the IDPs right now,the many hungry kenyans,the lost opportunities to grow our economy and the many families who lost a member or with a member still nursing injuries (and that's from Nyanza thro central and Nairobi to Coast).....and the politicians with their big mouths and matumbo kubwa. It's the same crop of useless fellows even if we to the elections again. We should wait for that opportunity to sack all in 2012.
