Have no problem with anyone's views..only issue is when someone 'orders' me to buy.. or sell.. when i had not even asked...on other hand you are really mistaken on EB....fOR STARTERS... NOBODY IS GOING TO FLOOD THE MARKET...virtually all the EB SHAREHOLDERS know where it is headed...and if they sell what is the alternative?...

But expect huge demand...everyone BIG or SMALL will now be seeking to have EB in their portfolio since it is affordable...but the real massacre will come when they cross list in USE...FOR NOW..wouldn't be surprised if it hits 20 -30 in a few weeks...mainly due to demand and scarcity

We agree on prevailing condition - it is distorted. High demand,short supply due to the fact that post-split shares are not in the CDSC yet. Read my post again and you see that I wrote 'Thus we might not get the 'flood'.'

We also agree on what will happen after the shares are credited to CDSC. I wrote that '...now many people will find them affordable...sh10k will get you a decent 700shares....'

Where will the price settle at? I guess 12 to 14...but the accuracy of my guess is as good as yours!

so for example if i have 100 shares,,will get 300sh or 3000sh dividendS???

Dividends will be paid on the shares you had BEFORE the split

i absolutely agree with your sentiments of the know it all in the SK fraternity when to buy or sale.If you read most of the past analysis and the current senario you find that 98% of them are fake.Especially EB people tend to know too much about this counter

You are such a paranoyd freak! Why on earth do you take an advise as an order on SK? As you correctly said,we have people from all corners of life an of the world in here,why not just be calm,listen and comment! If you can't then I advise you to take Prozac,( I have not ordered it!)

Consider the following

- by the end of April we will know the 1st quarter results of 2009
- Equity's success in Uganda
- most people are unwilling to sell if the price is going up
- the economic prospects will be clearer by the end of May

Crediting of split shares in CDCS accounts will happen towards the end of May. A lot could have happened before then.

My feeling: Sell at your own peril.

It seems virji's question has been hijacked and no one answered it as he/ she expected..Whether people will dispose EB to purchase other counters...

In my humble opinion...this may not happen..but instead it may happen the other way round...small investors in other counters disposing to BUY EB now that it is affordable...

Also consider this..with the discounted price...Demand for EB has risen 10 fold ...or even say 3 fold by conservative estimates...but the number of people willing to sell?....well this will not rise 3 fold...may even decrease....as the expansion gains momentum...

So if u are a speculator... ask yrself..would you rather buy now @ 15/- and sell @ 25-30/- in May,or would uh sit on the fence and buy @ 25-30/- in May...If a long term investor...why would you even wait?...But that's just me...NEXT THREAD!

It seems that no one is willing to sell their equity shares. only 3700 shares traded at this point in time (with huge demand) and all of them traded at limit up.All the other stocks trading below 20 shillings apart from kcb and Msc are showing significant supply.
Could we be seeing a liquidation of the other low priced stocks in favour of equity?
