the little military theory I have tells me that by the sound of the second bullet in an ambush situation every soldier should be out of the truck in the bush counter attacking.

I think we are reaping the fruits of corruption in police recruitment.

people joining the force without passion just because there are no jobs out there.

Thou no one survives a well co-ordinated ambush, they should have taken more precaution now that there was an earlier ambush there.

another point about military is that they won't go /attack. any place without proper intelligence. that why kdf has been so successful in Somalia

you think there have not been ambushes on our gallant soldiers.?casualties have been there but limited.

I think our police are going by blind faith only. no intelligence hence the massive casualties.

we are even sending inexperienced recent graduates to deal with these animals!!!

You know you have security concerns when madmen attack a naval base with machetes.

For them to believe that they can actually mount a coup with pangas is a clear sign that no one is taking Ole Lenku seriously anymore.

Sometimes there is a journalist who did a report on terrorist targets in Kenya , there was KNH and central police station. The guy showed how lax people charged with security could be.They were just there and could not even care, i hope this is not the case with KDF and army barracks. I remember in the days one to get access to a barrack was a problem the person you were to visit would have to come pick you up @ the gate. If what we see on the road with traffic cops, in the estates with the officers doing patrols then its rotten every where.
