When we pray and propagate hatred at the same time the prayers become null and void and God turns the other way leaving us to our own greed.
Where can an ordinary citizen find some fresh breathe of air? Where is the voice of the church? I guess they are busy hating on each other as well.
...Kenyans have sunk to a high low,it's such a pity and shame. Whatever the outcome,it will be remembered for a long time to come. I'm glad to see @kysse, who previously had misconceptions and mistaken bitterness her heart working on the mindset for the sake of our country Previously:tycho wrote:kysse wrote:tycho wrote:harrydre wrote: The govt should create a secret security agency that is empowered to search and destroy suspected terrorists plotting.
When the government conducts extra judicial killings, who will care about the courts, and the law? It will no longer be 'government'. Such thinking may end up creating opposite extremes like 'Al Shabaab'. In short,we need terrorists to deal with terrorists after all dawa ya moto ni moto. Problem is you'll end up being a terrorist and will be dealt with like a terrorist by your fellow terrorists. But yes, terrorism will lose it's strength over you. Only now you'll be scarcely human. And the world will be hell. Some more: quicksand wrote:kysse wrote:...This is unacceptable and a direct attack. @Serikali,do you want kenyans to take the law into their own hands and retaliate? If you don't tame and throw them out,the citizens will. We are fed up. This would be extremely dangerous...it is exactly what Shabaab wants people to do. Not able to get hold of guilty culprits, an angry Christian population will lash out violently at Muslims, most of whom have nothing to do with it and just want to live in peace. ...@alphdoti is right when he says dont be quick to point fingers...

FEAR The dominant and most destructive emotion being stoked in all these threads. No amount of analysis and sense can contend with the fires of emotion. Because of reading through these threads, most of you will have a strangely different facial expression and tone of voice when talking to your neighbor or colleague now turned into an 'enemy sympathizer', the object of your fear. That is why the fruit of fear is always senseless, cowardly, irrational words, thoughts and actions. Unfortunately, it is a reliable emotion, readily available from you to those to whom you pay homage, who use it to manipulate you for their own ends. Fear begets Fear No winners.

No winners.
And why does Man experience fear? Because his knowledge isn't complete. He has no reassurance of his place, identity, his consciousness. He can't love, not just his neighbor, but his self. Negative ethnicity is a reflection of what's happening deep in our souls. But knowledge can be complete, and therein is love also complete. And perfect love casteth out fear.

To answer the question of the thread starter... The solution is and has always been LOVE. The more excellent way. I may have digressed in this thread in terms of mood / tone but not in truth.

I concur Exactly where (in history) humanity moved from love to fear is the subject of another thread.

I don't think this answer is adequate @symbols. For example, I understand the 'roaring lion', as 'the devil'. If am right, then how would other people who don't have the devil in their worldview understand the terror? If there's no consensus on why we're being terrorized then terror is apt to escalate.

Unfortunately he hasn't gone far back enough. This game was solidified at the Berlin conference. Kenya as a political system with salient global implications was designed and her trajectory decided. That's where our problems started, and not even 'independence' could change our course. We can say anything we wish, but if we don't look as far back, then all we'll have is noise and desperation.

How far back can we go without encountering the negative aspects of human nature expressing themselves within the systems, environment and advancements of the day?
