What should be happening is that people who looted the treasury or enriched themselves at the public's expense should be made to return the money or at least a fraction of it so it can be used to alleviate the over-taxing and financial overburdening of Kenyans.

Nigeria is in the process of trying to recover the $50 billion that Abacha stole and they are making progress. That money will be pumped into the economy.

In Kenya we are doing the opposite. After these people spent decades enriching themselves at the public's expense, we are rewarding them with more hundreds of millions. All this while more and more broke youth are resorting to crime to make ends meet.

And you wonder why Nigeria has had one of the fastest GDP growth rates in the past 10 years ?
