@Kaigz what has been going on in Meru. Seems Munya was acting like Kidero?

You see Munya was actually never popular in the larger Meru. He was fronted by Kiraitu and word on the ground has it that some background manipulations and manouvres by Kiraitu got Munya to the post of Governor. The areas around Imenti (around Meru town and Nkubu) are the most densely populated and the "elections suit" favoured Munya who got his entire support from Imenti and Tigania...Igembe did not vote for him.

Secondly, Munya being a Tigania concentrated all his efforts in his office to hiring only the Tigania and forgot about the other Meru sub-tribes namely the Imenti and Igembe. In fact there has been alot of activities in Tigania region in terms of infrastructure upgrading and the other regions felt left out!!

The other day the guy unilaterally demolished a large number of kiosks in Meru town (Imenti occupied) and every one was very bitter... His complete disregard to the Imenti and Igembe MCAs and MPs is deep..

All this coupled to other issues led to the notorious riots in Meru town sometime in January 2014...

The court nullification of his elective position has provided a very good opportunity for the electorate to throw him out shamelessly!!

Seems his is a gone case then, no support on the ground.
By election will sweep him aside.
Okay, let's wait for the next Governor to be shown the door.

Wooiiii! munya is finished.!!!

Quote:
Mr Munya was declared the winner after he garnered 184,273 votes against Dr Kilemi Mwiria’s 180,837 votes.

Less all the enemies he has created since becoming governor.

sema mrembo.

I can see both munya and kilemi not winning the by-election... a new comer will!! You see both are from tigania sub-tribe, so a strong candidate from Igembe or Imenti will sweep them aside.

Here is the tyranny figures based on IEBC 18TH DECEMBER 2012 register:-

Igembe: 141,672
Tigania: 94,619
Imenti:247,226

Remember there is no senate seat to share... just governor and deputy... imenti/igembe in whatever order and tigania finished....

am still not able to figure out why a tigania wanted another tigania to lose a seat that badly...
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.
