They said this will reduce their commutes and road accidents. Kabartonjo ward representative James Cheptoo on Thursday moved a motion urging the county government to fast track MCAs’ housing in town. He said many of them travel long distances to attend county assembly sessions. “Majority of the members travel over 30km daily to their rural homes and back the following day to attend parliamentary session,” Cheptoo said. The motion was tabled after the parliamentary session was adjourned for a day following an accident that involved five MCAs and three Standard Media Group journalists at Petkawanin on the Kabarnet-Marigat road.
