It's changed based on mileage. Most recommend every 100,000km.

It's changed based on mileage. Most manufacturers recommend every 100,000km.


a lot of the 2nd hand cars we buy from japan will usually have their mileage "rewound". The danger being that you look at the vehicle's mileage and you think that it still below the change interval typically 100 K kms when the truth is otherwise. It will therefore snap one day without warning and you are left wondering what happened.
