But it's the FOCUS. When Wangare Maathai was planting trees, she wasn't thinking about the possibility of getting Sh100m from a Nobel Prize. All she wanted was to protect the environment so that future generations can't live a better life.
Then some one notice her EFFORT and what she had ACHIEVED and decided that she needs RECOGNITION.
BTW: Nobel prizes are NOT contested for! People are proposed/nominated and then a selection is done. Sio kama TPF!
