There is this story of a young man who wanted to satisfy his wife in bed.

So the guy thought that he couldn't do it because of his size. So he did everything he could think of to increase his size. All this led to him spending less time with wifey.

Unfortunately for him, the wife still left him. Thinking that the problem was stick his manhood, he went ahead and had surgery to get a bigger one.

When the wife was asked if the size was the issue. She said no. The problem was the fellow wasn't making love to her and she didn't feel loved.

Same with devolution.

The problem is not devolution.

The problem is that you voted for what you deserved. So stop complaining and live with the consequences.

National gov't or even county gov't most voted with the thought of making their manhood better.

was the surgery a success? if so maybe the next wife if he got one was more happier.

Devolution is not an overnight and quick fix process, eventually we will get it right.

@alma, if all you can tell people is 'accept and live with the consequences', ..then you are not constructive at all. I get it that you are unhappy that Jubilee got elected, but that is democracy. The collective wishes of others trumps your own.
There is value in protest, as the Egyptian revolution and Gandhi proved. Your defeatist attitude does nothing other than to malign and discourage those who feel complaining counts for something.

Wachaneni na @alma, he feels the pain too hata kama his ego doesn't want to show it. He can as well relocate to another country if he feels we are complaining too much. Oh wait, other countries do that, no? He is one person who never understands what democracy is. @quicksand, word.

Alma is also protesting. And if the most of us are on the protest way, then we can be sure that the state has no worse enemies than ourselves.

We should realize that the government cannot do the things we expect; and not just our government, but most if not all government as we know it.

The game is for the entrepreneur to come up with market based solutions.

But look, we are entrepreneurs and investors, and all we can do is protest!

Game yetu iko down tu sana.

sasa @quicksand mambo ya jubilee imetoka wapi?

Consequences are all over the country. Njumbiree ama cord ama whatever. The issue here again is still the holding onto the manhood. Dealing with the wrong problem.

The problem is not njumbiree or chord. Its the voter.

The same voter who's now complaining gave these fellows all the rights to do what they are doing now.

Granted, they have now seen the error of their ways. But the question begs, what are they planning on doing about it? Other than complaining of course and then voting in the same fellows when they migrate from njumbiree, to cord to the next populist anthem?

Individual wisdom will not stop others from making mistakes. Society growth and enlightenment is a slow, painful process. People are lauding Machakos for its smart, astute governor. Is this because people of Machakos are averagely more intelligent than those of Bungoma? No. There is a thread in this very forum titled 'Alfie the dodo'.. why? Cause Mutua had a track record for inept actions. So what changed? Anyone can be duped. This is what happened to the good residents of Bungoma. When an idiot is foisted upon you by the folly of others, you don't resign and just take it, you yell, because next time it is you who will be duped and elect a fool. Deceptive and capricious politicians dont need more space by people's resignation, they need resistance, of any kind, all that is available.
We cant wait for an ideal state of universally aware voters. It may never happen. George Bush 2 got elected! Berlusconi got elected twice. Anyone can be deceived. Moral outrage is very important.

@ Alma.....We voted for them but that doesn't mean we shouldn't complain when the get off track. If we did that you would be the first one to accuse us of sycophancy.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. -Theodore Roosevelt

It is not the function of the government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error.

I belong to Bungoma County. I really want to be given a private session with this Lusaka person. Lock me up in a room with him, allow me to carry some tools and give me just 10 minutes!!!!!!
