Most Saccos in kenya are run on a ponzi scheme model where you need more members to keep joining in order to sustain liquidity. Instead of investing the funds they receive as deposits they instead lend out in dubious ways to members who can't repay. So they have to keep on recruiting more members opening the bonds of membership. As the credit crunch gathers pace the default rate for saccos will soar and most will be illiquid.

We are now in the early stages of a savings and loans crisis.

Kenyans deserve this.They are very gullible.
Easy come easy go while the rest are cracking their heads here to make something.
How can one be told a house costing 40k???

There have been demonstrations in Thika in support of Gakuyo.They claim its Kabufallo who is behind this expose.

I dont understand kenyans.

This Gakuyo man is fake and other than those houses done huko Kabati,there is nothing else.
It is sad that all those real property guys have now established SACCOS where they pay 2%per month.Worse still all those were once Directors at URITHI.

You can't help Kenyans when they hear the word kaburoti..There's another one just starting out right now.

I walk around Nairobi and see empty commercial properties but this fellow has this latest best honest christian method of making a profit when I see empty spaces all around.

Mkaangwe kabisa. This real estate and sacco business is good for the economy. Any macro-economist can tell you that. smile
