Paragraph 13:
"The procurement issues raised by the petitioner are not issues for determination by the Supreme Court. The same, in any event, has no effect whatsoever on both the integrity of the election process, and the results declared. The Government of Kenya through the office of the Petitioner and the Treasury, in any event, did the procurement of the equipment now sought to be impugned. The petitioner cannot seek to benefit from what would, if his argument is to be accepted, be his own wrongdoing"

What's the difference between a "normal" audit and a "forensic" audit?

So this 14 day stories floating around have no basis or substance?

Anything can stretch a bit.

I think they have to rule within fourteen days - the Rules are subsidiary to Article 140(2) of the Constitution which provides:

Within fourteen days after the filing of a petition under clause
(1), the Supreme Court shall hear and determine the petition and its
decision shall be final.

I think forensic simply means that it is done with the evidence collected to be used as part of court proceedings!!!!

Dear Members,

We have received all your comments - few appreciative, some informative, several unsavory. Yet ours is only a reaction, the causative action emanates from a few errant users. It is time to take responsibility!

Rule and policies:
1. Every day, one thread only Politics update for [date] will be created
2. All members will be allowed to only post links to reputable news sources with an explaining line or caption
3. Text of article should not be copied in full to the thread
4. No member may post the same link more than once
5. Post should not state personal opinions

If the rules appear too restrictive, simply avoid Politics altogether. It will be critical for members to castigate those who deviate from the rules.

Kindly note, should more than five members willingly violate the rules on any material day, they will have succeeded in freezing political discussions.

The Wazua spirit
To educate, inform, and learn from each other irrespective of our differences.

A point of clarification now that some of us have read the petition and responses to it can we discuss the matters there in using the documents as refrences or that is not allowed.and deemed as sub judice
possunt quia posse videntur

Prime Minister Mr Raila Odinga on Monday claimed that he had won the March 4 General Election. He said he garnered 5.7 million votes against the Jubilee candidate Mr Uhuru Kenyatta’s 4.5 million votes, but Mr Kenyatta was declared the winner prompting his coalition to move to the Supreme Court to contest the outcome. However, he did not explain how he had arrived at the figures.

I don't think the Wazua Spirit is being reflected in your rules and policies. My take.
