I think Kibaki had minimal contact with the west, so nothing will change much.

They explained their 'essential contact' only policy that is restricted to accused but not the rest of the country/citizens, so let it be, till the cases are dropped we will have to get used to this or until they review their policy or rethink their stand on icc and the two. Do not expect congratulatory messages mentioning or directed at Uhuru, they warned us already, however this cannot be equated to sanctions or the economic, social and political disaster of Raila presidency, so we can manage with this 'essential contacts' for whatever period.

Am sure Kibaki must have taught Uhuru how to go about his business with 'limited contact' with the west....smile smile

Fyi President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto are Kenyans!!!!!

A statement by Mr Ban's spokesman said the UN chief "has noted the results" of Kenya's election.

But the statement added that Mr Ban "congratulates the people of Kenya for their impressive determination to participate peacefully in the elections, and for the patience they have demonstrated while awaiting the results."

The UN chief's response was similar to that of US Secretary of State John Kerry, who also did not congratulate Mr Kenyatta in a statement on Saturday but did congratulate Kenyans on conducting a peaceful poll.

The United Nations thus joins powerful Western nations in declining to offer a figurative handshake to Mr Kenyatta.

Kibaki was rebuffing the West, they were used to abusing diplomatic protocol, jumping the line; he fed them some humble pie. The West is snobbing Uhuru. That is different.

Rumour doing the rounds on MKZ that UNEP to move to Pretoria or Seychelles.

The shilling is doing well today, same to the stock market so guess no need to worry as at now and make money.

its amounts to the same thing.... if you state the process that determined outcome "A" was fine you are similarly saying that the outcome "A" is equally fine.

the result still remains that contact was and will still be minimal - thus no difference contact wise.
