Let us not be so hard on ourselves. We should wait and see how the Shilling will react. It might maintain ground and suprise many investors. How much would u be worth if you lost all your money?

Lets not bow to their demands then we'll see if they will not buy our flowers coffee and now oil. The more they talk the more people are getting the morale of voting in the Hague brothers. you think this is the only country that can grow flowers and coffee or has oil? we are seriously delusional! We all know once supply is cut prices go up...that is not sustainable for them esp now that their economies are in the gutter. God help us all! I now understand why they say a little knowledge is dangerous. God help us. As we eat our Sovereignty, fuel our cars with Sovereignty, buy milk and Hiv drugs with our Sovereignty, build our infrastructure with our Sovereignty. Amen.

eboomerang wrote:An Alternative view to the potential "consequences" of electing a certain president
If we look around, most African, Asian and middle east countries with proven mineral and oil deposits are ungovernable.
Insecurity, political instability, significant socioeconomic imbalance, a marginalized economy, a dysfunctional state etc. are some of the features of these countries.
With the recent oil exploration in Kenya and confirmed deposits of coal and iron ore, we were quick to announce to the world of our findings. It is therefore a fact that mining is expected to be a major economic driver in Kenya in the near future.
It is possible that some dark forces somewhere wouldn't mind to have a destabilized Kenya so that the formal channels for managing these resources are rendered dysfunctional or even totally destroyed.
That would mean creating the ground to offer sanctions and whatever else would destabilize the country. So having a president with internationally tattered credentials would be the perfect recipe for this scenario.
Is this a phantom thought or a potential reality? a potential reality but an abominable one! Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. - Muhammad Ali🐝

This being the biz section of Wazua, the chest thumping has a lower weighting. In an earlier thread, there are those who bet against the economy/NSE (@stockmaster, @guru & all) & those for it (@Cde, @obiero & all) & there have been consequences - A MAD RALLY - Nevertheless, the verdict is still out there, deliverable latest H1. My word (again & again) to all Kenyans in Kenya, VOTE PEACEFULLY.

#Blame the education system. Think Unilever, Finlays, Barclays, Stanchart, KQ, are they being nationalised akin the Zim way? The major stakeholders are the west and reap handsomely from this market. Kama ni sanctions sote tuko pamoja. What have we done? Voting democratically and not doing it to their way of liking? They insist on having democracy, now that its not going their way we are being sanctioned. Accept no one's definition of your life; define your life.

Am ready to sleep hungry if they have been feeding me. Listening to these idiots is the ultimate betrayal not for my country but my grand parents who suffered under the same pink people. They went on and killed Qaddafi, made Iraq a living hell and killed millions in Afghanistan. I will vote Jubilee. Keep it simple

Since we all seem to be reading from History socio-politico-economically in 2013 i.e Kenya 1963 (Independence), Zim 1980 (2nd Chimurenga-Booting out Rhodie, now MDC), America 1930s (Great Depression), Eurozone (former USSR) then worse comes to worst, we go back to where this all started - Agrarian. Every Kenyan has direct or indirect access to land na Kazi Iendelee!

Every Kenyan has direct or indirect access to land na Kazi Iendelee! In addition, our very own Liberation allies who share similar colonial woes, Brazil, Russia, India, China, SA are now very much economically empowered. That sets the platform for history & modern day socio-politico-economics. Let's play...
