Me, Kosgey and Magerer put our names forward for one of us to be considered by Raila and ODM as a running mate. Kalenjins came out strongly against the move saying Raila would not get a single vote even if one of us was picked. Ruto summed it all by declaring us ...madmen. My people cheered him instead of defending us. Now that the party is likely to settle on Kalonzo, the same people who dismissed and mocked our candidature are the same crying foul that we have been betrayed and shortchanged. This is hypocrisy and dishonesty at its worst. You made this bed and now you must lie on it. You did all you could to discourage the party from choosing any of us. I am disappointed. Be it as it may, I am personally confirming to you that ODM will make the next government with Kalenjin interests secure and safe irrespective of whether a Kalenjin is the running mate or not. I say this because Raila is an honest, patriotic and inclusive leader.
