Very sad. A good starting point is moving the 500,000 refugee camp to Somalia. AMISOM will provide security there.

the millitary & gsu should now start manning the border. remove the corrupt police at the garrisa bridge where illegal bad intentioned immigrants pay bribes to gain their way into the rest of our country.entrust the screening work to our more patriotic millitary.

kenyan millitary doing a great job but the police is a great letdown.

First in my opinion, these amateurs are targeting soft targets, church, locals? plus as one @Eskky puts it, "their pattern is for the time being, very predictable"

So where is the problem? We can blame the security apparatus, the immigration department, the corruption in our country, but at the end of the day we got to find a lasting solution.I know it have been floated we can do away with some of the refugee camp in the Northern Kenya, but what happens...some NGOs, politicians comes out blazing and breathing fire. The security of Kenya, as a nation is more valuable than interest of any other person/nation who is not a citizen of this country.

I concur with those suggesting that its time the refugees went back...we are feeding and nurturing these thugs and before we know it it will be too late. Its time they are escorted back home because am sure they know who among them in Alshabaab

...ok,condolences to the families.

now to business,
we must help secure our nation.
gun runners, corrupt police and border officers, move the camp, patrol the border with zeal, report suspicious characters and activities around us,stop and search, detect ammunition smuggling routes, infiltrate the shabaab and get info.............jail for life anyone aiding terrorists, owning and smuggling arms( i personally prefer the death sentence)

....we must now more than ever be patriots, let no one try and divide us with religious wars,we are too clever for that,we will never fall for that!

...and while at it,send mohammaed ali there with his jicho pevu,as in, JOURNALISTS MUST WAKE UP TOO!
.....SECURITY IT IS NOT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE,IT CAN BE DONE AND SHOULD BE DONE!

The reality that few want to acknowledge is that these people receive help from locals. They would not get very far if the locals did not support or hide them. We must evolve our security doctrine. Americans choose never to forget stuff you do to them. They will hunt you to the ends of the earth and will not rest till you are dead if you dare attack them. We must chase these idiots and their supporters and make them pay for what they have done.

I wonder if GSU still operates as it used to back in the late 90's..they should descend in Garissa and harass those residents till they talk...to hell with human rights

What difference is there between Taliban,Sugusugu,Mungiki.Jeshi la mzee,Mwakenya,Amachuma,Baghdad boys and these shabs in as far as terrorising and killing innocent kenyans is concerned?
So if the GSU meted justice on these outlawed groups including matakwei's,what makes it difficult for them to silence these fellows?

And they have the audacity to celebrate because they killed innocent worshippers?

so what are you saying? that beyond garisa is not Kenya? or what do you mean by immigrants from garisa?

the problem brother is not at that bridge, it is at the borders. sort out the mess at the borders and the bridge will need very little manning. In fact the manning at that bridge makes folkes on the north of the river think that they are not being treated as Kenyans.

They condemn them during the day and condole them in the night. What happens in the name of human rights is terrible and cannot be entertained if we are not to go the Boko haram way.

I can tell you for sure, Daadab is the epicenter of all these grenade activities, it is the hub from where all converge and execute their terrorist activities. All under the protection of some Geneva convention. I can tell you as well that the Garissa attacks are a carefully planned strategy emanating from the planning of one Fazul to spread terror and disorient the government of Kenya to the extent of Boko Haram.

My two cents:
1. Declare Garissa an operation area (emergency) and suspend all "rights" until these elements are smoked out. Employ the Mungiki tactics that Michuki devised and let the UN rapporteur do the talking but we'll have secured that bit of the country from the tight grip of the terrorists.
2. Close down Daadab and relocate all the refugees let the world (read West) and their NGO mouthpieces make the noise.
3. The internal security agencies led by the NSIS, conduct a thorough screening of all persons of Somali origin in the northern frontier and, Eastleigh. Don't mind the noises from politicians and activists.
4. Replace the police commissioner and crack down on Garissa like SLDF, mwaga GSU crack unit plus military to recover the weapons stolen from the slain cops.
