This is one time we should not vote 3 piece. I will vote for Kidero in ODM in as much as I cannot vote for its presidential candidate.

Waititu is simply overrated!!!!

He is definitely not suitable for governor but this guy has more influence than you think. He knows what it takes to win a vote in Nairobi....ODM probably made a big mistake to think that Passaris could beat him in 2008. Anyway, I didn't think he would have the confidence to go for the governor's seat, its a big statement from him.

Like several people have said, elections for Nairobi Governor will not be about issues or development record but rather party affiliations and political network.....those are the things that excite Watu wa mashinani, who btw are the majority.

@manyala its not that kuyks cannot vote for kidero but for an ODM candidate that would be a long shot.

waititu knows whole of nairobi is not as embakasi and is waiting for uhurus party so is jimnah mbaru ,that cbd guy and many others to ride the wave.

whoever clinches the ticket on uhurus party will have a decent chance and square it out with kidero

I tend to differ with your view especially on Nairobis voting pattern..
No sitting or sat MPig, nor fellows who have ever served (or is it lack of serving?) Nairobbers thru city hall will ever win a seat in Nairobi ever again..
Jimna Vs Kidero battle it is... the rest are mere details.

@ Poundfoolish.....Its also my wish that doesn't happen but i'm afraid nothing will change. Do you remember Jimna Vs Kamanda in 2002, how did that go? or even PLO's attempt to win the Kamukunji seat! The middle class voters in Nairobi would really love to have someone like Kidero/Mbaru as Governor lakini its the mashinani voters who will decide. It will a very big surprise if those two make it through party nominations.

waititu and sonko did a fantastic job mobilising youth for tna on sunday, gave them t shirts and above all 1k to buy food in their houses.at this rate waititu will be first Nairobi governor while his opponent was sipping whisky at crowne plaza.

Great debate on K24 by the potential governors.still didn't hear key issues such as healthcare, transportation, unemployment and insecurity being addressed in detail. Otherwise I think Kidero should be given a chance for this seat.

It will be very hard for the so called professional (Read Mbaru and Kidero). First loose in nominations then in the big day, most Kenyans will just vote next to either orange or a dove. Siasa sio mchezo.
Keep it simple

Kidelo @mumias cost me money, people are loosing jobs, farmers are suffering. Won't see my vote. Mr bling is suspect, anything he touches(waitish) is suspect. When will we have 'clean' people? Will Kenya ever get to first world?

It was a good debate but if i was to rank them Kidero came second to last only Miguna was worse than him.On points, on grasp of the issues, on substance related to being a governor Kidero thoroughly underperformed to the point even Waititu beat him.Out of all them i think Kisia won hands down if you were not biased and wanted to hear realistic solutions and substance.Kisia understands the role of a governor and his answers or solutions were realistic and practical.Only problem is that he has been in the system and is rumored not to be clean. The bar for Nairobi governorship is very low because i think the candidates in the field are wanting. However if the field remains the same the winner will either be Waititu(65% of nairobi people live in slums) or Kisia. Timothy is a joke he cannot articulate the issues well even after being in campaign mode since 2010. All in all it will be a sad day for Nairobi.
