i like everything i am hearing, imagine a karua and kiyiapi ticket, there ll be an entire campaign without the mention of sisi kama watu wa pwani/ nyanza/wakamba/western/riftvalley/GEMA.... that one definitely has my vote

i love how he over runs Koinange on everything, lollest kenyan politics is about to change

Rink?

And where was he during the clamor for pluralism in the early nineties?

its on youtube, koinange bench, do we have to use 90s clamour as mark for leadership, after all kiraitu (of GEMA mbuss), Michuki, Raila were among them and what did they do?

I think he was still teacing at Moi Uni

RAO is still a pro change.

The point is that we need to do away with the politics of activism.

We respect those who fought for pluralism and they did their bit for the nation.

Let us facilitate the transition, now we need to forge ahead with an issue driven political agenda

Those activists from both the political divide have left us down big time. In mind I have Kiraitu, Orengo, Koigi, etc. We now know what they are made of.

I agree with you @pariah .

Those who led the clamour for political pluralism in the 80s and 90s should not get a free ride to state hse on that account alone.

A lot of them have really changed. I wonder how many are still true to the cause. As Njoya says, most of them were not fighting for a better Kenya but a chance to replace Moi and continue with Moism.

Pro change? Which change?

Maybe change from President Kibaki to President Odinga!!Or change back to populist days.

I am tempted to support him especially after listening to him.

We are seeing some fresh blood seeking the big seats. There is some change. Today on cheche, Citizen TV Abdikadir Mohammed was hard pressed to announce whether he is vying for Presidency or whether he is in talks with any candidate to become his running mate.

The problem with the 2007 election is that it will be an annex of last elections. Politicians, tribes and electorate will want to finish off from where they left last time.

This is why the Kiyiapis, PKs and Tujus of this world may only manage token support.

no one should get a free ride..not even kiyapi.

What has he done? What is his view on taxation policy? what does he think of gays in marriage? exactly what is behind that mind?

I think we are going back to the 90's and picking guys for the sake of it. I remember a thread not long ago where guys were picking Ndemo.

The same Ndemo who's ministry wants to pass a spy law that is far worse than North Korea and totally against the constitution.

Let these people prove themselves. Just because they are young and savvy doesn't mean that they are good. Even Amin was a young and savvy fellow.

I think he is a serious candidate, I would really like a scenario where we get to have people of his calibre contesting the seat and not the same politicians coming back wrapped in a new mbuss, chungwa, new party etc.

Dons generally have good agenda's and articulate them well but not sure about their implementation ability. And the same is true with the Ministry of education, our education system is currently a big pile of poo.
