It is true that there is economic marginalization in this country. you just dont want to admit it. look at the coast and see why MRC is springing up. Go to Turkana and see for yourself, NEP etc. why would a fish Processing firm be bulit in Thika and there is no L. turkan, baringo or victoria or in thika. BE REAL and speak the truth. Thats why if MRC at coast is not addressed, its a time bomb buddy.

how come when other tribes move to these so called marginalized areas they quickly pick up and develop until the next General Elections?

@ harrydre. I think your argument is abit warped. seems you've never traveled the depth and breadth of this country. Infrastructure plays a very big role in development of a country. it is never brought by politicians but Govt. There r parts of kenya where pple as old as 20yrs have never seen a tarmarked road.
Come to think of it, why is coffee farmers' debts always waived by the Govt and not cotton or tea for example. Lets address the problem.we at the coast will need our own country as long as we see no need for this Govt.

FYI you don't need a lake to harvest fish. Central Province is one of the largest if not the largest producer of fish in Kenya. FACT.

Guys, let's not be blind to facts;
After Kenyatta was stoned in Kisumu, he totally ignored the place
After Ochuka and his friends tried the evict Moi from state house in 1982, he had no option but to Fuata nyayo.
These are facts. But that said, the guys resolve every simple political problem with violence. They destroyed their own town during the PEV and when they realized that they had scored a massive own goal, started organizing investor conferences for investors to come back. I just wish them luck. You are either with the king, or against him. If you are against the king, even if you are doing good stuff for them, they will stone you. Just ask Tuju. His mobile clinic is rotting away somewhere...

95% of fish catch in Kenya comes from Lake Victoria, but hey, don't let unnecessary things like statistics get in the way of your arguement, Central produces evrything in Kenya, so why not fish.
