If a kikuyu meets fellow kikuyus or members of any other tribe other than Luo, he automatically becomes a tribalist and a threat to national unity. It is reported in the media as 'their tribal cocoons'.

If a Luo meets Kikuyus, it is called, 'lobbying from 'central kenya' votes'! For Maasai's, its called 'Elders from three counties'!

SO UNFAIR!

yeah. As Philip Ochieng notes, the word tribalist in Kenya is meaningless without the adjective Kikuyu. That is why any Kyuk opposing Raila is tribalist while a Jeng opposing Uhuru is a democrat!

Some sense of civility would take this country so far. The ills afflicting this nation stem from this myopic thinking of our "own". When moi was the president, not all Kalenjins benefited, but he,moi screwed the country big time with the support of his "own". With the Kibaki presidency, not all Kiuks are benefiting, but generally, the country has gained economically. With another good or fairly good presidency, kenya will inch forward.
What is with this "our own" crap? Don't you realize that sort of mentality is costly to the nation? Think of IDPs,squatters, impunity etc. Could be they mean nothing to some, but what goes around,do come around. Time is the ultimate leveler.
