Ruto, Kalonzo and Karua have all been to kisumu in the recent past and were not stoned!!!

...the act of hooliganism dispayed must be condemned in the strongest words possible!!!!!

Thanks McReggae, we recognize sobriety when its evident.
By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...

Here is a gud piece by Jerry Okungu

Now that Raphael Tuju has joined the presidential race, could the fear of Raila presidency- Railaphobia be at play here? Are there other forces in the political class that may be planning to mollify the Luos by giving them their lifetime dream- the presidency as long as that person is not Raila Amolo Odinga?

I hope Luos are listening. As far as its Raila they wish to see as president, no sane tribe will support them. However, it is an acceptable scenario if Luos present someone else, who is not a Raila maniac, we will support him. Get the idea? The problem is not the Luos, the problem is Raila. If he takes over power, we are likely to go to civil war sooner than later. He has so many politically enemies that they might fear him being president even for a day as his retaliation might be barbaric and at the expense of the country.

He has repeatedly said he would not revenge but from experience, he is an eloquent liar who can lie for political expedience. That is what Kenyans fear. Kenyans do not fear the Luo community as such, but the fact that they seem to be parochial when it comes to backing just one eccentric leader when they have so many wise and trustworthy leaders.

Applies in first paragraph

What don’t we just grow up for heavenly sake? If I am not interested in your politics the honourable thing to do is avoid your rally and go about my business as usual. It beats logic for one to go stone the politician NKT!!Sad

Thanks Otienosmall. Finally, I can call you my brothers ones more. Sobriety is finally prevailing. Kenyans, lets see reality and deal with it as such. Am sorry if I offended someone previously. Please, straighten me up when I go off line.

Correction - Karua has never been stoned in Central. I may be wrong but you can provide a link if you have one. She has indeed been heckled but that happens even in the US, UK and is part of democratic engagement.

Equating heckling with stoning is uhmmm...what's the word...I don' have the word actually. Even worse is justifying it as 'Tuju had it coming'.

If that's the case, don't you think we all have a right to stone everybody we don't agree with? Stone the banks for higher interest rates, stone matatus for higher fares, stone petrol stations for higher fuel prices, stone the shopkeeper for selling milk at 5/- higher, stone the garbage man for coming 5 minutes late....etc.

Stone age thinking.

Even your bluntest tool in the shed can tell Tuju knew this was a strong possibility, the Luos on Kisumu streets are likely to see him as being a traitor politically/hired spoiler. He has no strong base or launchpad from where to launch any meaningful candidacy, so why would he bother, unless he is a hired gun. This is what is pissing people on the streets. They should arrest the stone throwers but hang on they never arrest Gor supporters so.....To prove it's pure a mwananchi affair send Martha, PK or even Uhuru to Kisumu to campaign and you will be surprised they will be very welcome.

Lets turn the coin how many times has Martha - a very credible candidate been stoned or heckled in her constituency ever since she announced her candidacy, how is that you guys don't bring a similar thread 'WHY I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR UHURU'. This is pure tribal chauvinism. I bet you chances are much higher Uhuru could be having a bigger hand in Martha's stoning than Raila has on Tuju. Everyone knows Jango's love stones and are fanatical on their causes, we have seen it at Gor games as well. Would one say RAO is the one who sends guys to throw missiles at Gor's games?

Kyuks are not know to hurl missiles but for some reason there are some at Gichugu....

All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.

Its encouraging that sobriety is taking shape in this thread.

Thanks @Kihangeri,@Otienosmall ,@Mcreggae,@innairobi and others for telling as it is. With such thinking, kenya and kenyans will move forward with respect for one another irrespective of different political opinions.

Stoning someone(s)motorcade is such a barbaric act whether you believe in him or not and it should never happen again in this country. What started as stoning in 2007 lead to the infamous ugly PEV that left atleast 1,300 dead and thousands uprooted from their homes.Property worth millions was destroyed.

Dear Kisumians (sp),

It is time you realized that RAO is not the air you breathe. He will not add one more omena to your Ugali plate if he became president. It is also time you realized that everyone has a right campaign to be president if they want to. It's not just Raila. I will take time to remind you of an interesting news item I heard but which you may have overlooked. A while back I heard your beloved RAO bemoaning that your arrogance and exuberance was scaring away voters from other parts of Kenya. He badly wants to be voted for by the whole country but the rest of Kenyans fear that they will have no where to tread should Agwambo ever become president. In your zeal to 'help' and 'protect' your hero, you are really hurting his chances of being Kenya's 4th president.

Finally, I still recall how you burned your town to ashes in 'protest' during the PEV. You soon realized your error when investors fled the town - some penniless - jobs became scarce, and someone had to organize investment conferences in order to attract even a simple hawker. You are prone to violence, and unless this changes, the perception of Osumo and its residents will continue to be very biased.

I wish you well in your efforts to have RAO elected by Kenyans.

Yours, Robin

Raila is the best thing that ever happened to Kenya. He fought for democratic space in the country, fought dictotor Idi Moi and bought molasses plant to create employment. Gvie him his dues men.
