For a long time, foreigners had [very] restricted access to Kenyan IPOs. But Kenyans could buy shares in London or New York or any other developed market.... as long as they had the forex - which was hard to come by!
It is just an indicator of how underdeveloped the market in Tz is. We have several IPOs lined up right here in Nairobi, buy those ones and wait till the day Tz realises it has open up... at least to fellow East Africans.
By the way do recall that the government of Tz doesn't allow it's citizens to participate in regional IPOs - citing some archaic forex control rules. Given them time, they will come around.
