trizher, I think the counter might see increased activity in the run-up to the split date. Just my opinion. I hold no share in this company.

What are these guys waiting for? Si waannounce results. Pia Standard Chartered. Ama they are not as good as other banks?

things are not looking gud 4 bbk, their momentum has gone down n they now seem to be focusing on mortgage which they hope wil stop th excess hemorrhage. kcb will definitely topple bbk as n.o 1 in terms of profitability, hands down!!
as 4 the split, i will hold my shares n speculate

hmmm... Ati KCB... Aren't you forgetting a certain bankd'oh!

'member' will come in at n.o 2 n bbk will trail the pack at n.o 3. this projection is 4 year 2011

No way! Equity Bank may make it to #1 in 2011 but I doubt KCB can beat BBK just yet! [Even though BBK is "Kenya Only" & KCB is regional]

Though Barclays' time on the throne is nearing its end, it should not be forgotten that as VVS says, it is Kenya based only, yet it has been whooping others with regional banks over the years

No one is decided on BBK this time round, I think it will take the cue from KCB which gave a bonus and did slide by much..i will speculate and buy some.
It's easy for investors to get emotional and prejudiced when trading, but computers don't

Any chance of KCB issuing an interim dividend this time around at H1?

Why? There is no gain and there is the added costs of processing the dividend.

dividend issuance is always a cost item in the company books, however, shareholders must be kept happy and an interim div may be a huge possibility
