Offer price of 2:1 and price of sh.6.55

In these market conditions, this rights issue will definitely be undersubscribed.

I dont think so,given that the government will be defending it's stake, the only shares really on offer are 1.2Billion so the amount to be raised is about 8Billion which isnt much given the attractiveness of the right price plus other fundamentals.

You guys make me laugh. What has kengen done since listing for shareholders to tripple their investment with them??

wait for it at the below 5 bob club (where the other gava firms reside) after rights issue. refer to kplc rights to know what will happen to share price later.

KCB will be over subscribed, KENGEN will be undersubscribed.

Does anyone else find the timing terrible? Not just because of the 10b set aside for KCB, but the short notice. I mean it's been known for years, but they announce today and it closes 10th June. I hope at least institutional investors had a heads up

God help me not to touch this share, if there are any goodies to be missed I will never regret

Why would one buy the rights at above the prevailing market price of the share? Two more trading days and the price will be lower than 6.55.

What would be the rationale for the share to trade below the rights price?
Too much pessimism around..

We've seen this too Many times. Today the price dropped 10%. One thing about money is that it's clever and it thinks about making more money.

Trust me any company doing a killer rights issue does not have its shareholders best interests at heart. Otherwise they wouldn't dilute shareholders like that. This is more of an IPO than a rights issue. Do the math
