Equity's fate to be determined on Friday. Already there's excitement from Mwananchi and fear with Safaricom already lowering prices

M-Pesa charges. honestly it's a clever move.

Range Ksh. 10 - 1500 - 15 bob representing 67% drop.

The reason is according to "research" around 65% of the transactions fall under that range. Fear much?

the latest move seems to suggest it is targeting to keep the small man in its grip.. btn 501 and 2500, charges dropped to 15 bob anything above charges go up to 45. I guess they are saying for any larger transactions, please use your bank (banks that will affiliate with them) while for the normal mwananichi stick to us (MPesa). I also fore see them bringing down charges for upto 10K transactions.

Excitement from Mwananchi? Nope!! I dont see it (with Kenyans and their peculiar habits)
Slim SIM game changer? Definitely yes.

But Member better be in this for the long haul and with the best strategy and money.. they should be looking at a battle of 5-10years to upstage Mpesa bank on that.

I agree, this safaricom thing is a sucker, using unorthodox methods to freeze the mwananchi.

Only sending charges affected. Withdrawal remains the same

The part that looks crooked is where they use delaying tactics so that they can first find a counter measure
