The choice facing Makueni residents is quite simple - to be in govt or languish in the opposition.

I suppose you have been in govt since March......can enumerate your gains so far to convince the people of Makueni to follow in your footsteps????

We have been in the opposition since March and it hurts that our views don't count any more, thanks to 'The Tyranny'. If you can't beat them, join them. It makes more sense to join them on the high table as the cake is shared.

Who in mashinani has benefited from this cake being shared????

@Shotgun,
You forget one fundumantal thing that the personality also is a factor in the %ages one gets, that's why you are 1st qualifying your statement by saying that 'If Kethi doesn't vie'

ODM: The Boss (vied against Mutula for Senator and lost, 192k to 51k votes)

JUB: Philip Kaloki (vied for Governor and lost to Kivutha Kibwana, 22k to 10k votes) OR Gideon Ndambuki (trounced by Mutula during Wiper/ODM nominations, 79k to 61k votes) [Both defected from Wiper/ODM to side with government]

This will be interesting to watch...

The BOSS will win this one.

UNLESS, the autopsy report implicates him...

I'm sure the autopsy report is currently at State House being edited appropriately...
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

@McR I agree with you. Kenyan politics is personality based. Am honest to myself that 'Brand Kethi' is unbwogable and can easily pull a 98-2.

With her out of the race (for now) who are left in the race? The same old politicians who majority were in CORD 3 months ago with nothing new to offer. They will just galvanize their support with the Wiper/CORD candidate having an edge due to the party.

Who is the leading candidate for Wiper/Cord as things stand now? Kithuku? SKM?

Kweli the boss complicates things for CORD, I don't see baba going all guns against him, they have been close since the KANU/NDP merger days!!!!!!

If somebody locates that Limuru dog and IEBC accepts its nomination papers to run against some people, that dog will win resoundingly... Mambo ya wengine iliisha zamani! If kaloki runs and Kethi doesn't then he will win...Hio ingine sijui.

Kaloki stood a better chance but shot himself in the foot. While Kethi was busy enjoying her day in court Kaloki was leading a small group of sore election loosers from Ukambani urging the community to accept and move on. Remember the Ole serene press confrence. That is when he lost.
Peace be with you

LOL. I'm amazed by the kind of idiocy expressed by some of the "commentators" here.

Watu wapatane kwa debe. Hii mammbo ya "expert opinion" ni bure kabisa.

I'll visit this thread on July 24.
