I commend baba for showing up and putting up a good show, he performed way above my expectations. I understand why UK did not show up, as an incumbent it's never a good idea to debate your opponents unless you are guaranteed of a win like M7. I still think UK would have done well enough to sway some undecided his way. All-in-all, the verdict will be on 8th August. May the best man win. BBI will solve it :)

I salute the jubilee supporters who are honest enough to say Uhuru should have showed up. Especially after giving the impression yesterday that he would show.
Going through the social media timelines of the most vocal jubilee supporters, they are facing a restless support base that feels Uhuru let them down.
This morning, Pauline Njoroge has come up with a new spin that Baba had been prepped by Joe ageyo on the questions to be asked. She also claims Debates Ltd is owned by Catherine Openda who is NASA's communications director.
To be honest, I don't have evidence to counter her allegations but I doubt the several media houses including K24 would make such a serious blunder.
My take. Like @bigchick and @murchr said, its unlikely that Uhuru's core supporters shifted sides because of the debate. However, like @alma has been saying from yesterday, the situation in kisii, Nyamira and Narok may be different.
And most importantly, Uhuru's absence meant Baba could have said anything and gotten away with it.
ION, Baba is back to Tharaka and Meru counties. Uhuru to tour 24 counties in 12 days.

The media debate Ltd is owned by a NASA sycophant. It was a set up glad UK missed, that's why the questions were favorable. i.am.back!!!!

I am sure someone will obtain the details from the registrar of companies by the end of the day. I would be shocked if K24 failed to notice such a glaring blunder. ION, Baba has received a very warm welcome in Runyenjes. Like I keep saying, they do not have to vote for him. But the fact that they are willing to sit and listen calmly to Raila is a big score for our growing democracy.

Just asking for a friend. Interesting because Joe Ageyo is current employed by NASA in the PR team. Precisely. And Linus at some not distant past vied for an elective post some place in Kilgoris on an ODM ticket. Uhuru was clever not to attend. I would have done the same thing. Sigh... Actually, I asked myself the question of why Linus had to be an interviewer. I don't know about Joe(Joho) Ageyo but Linus is a bit off

But I believe this is one election which is issue based. In mashinani people are now asking questions. What did he do as an MCA? MP? or Governor. In Kiambu for instance, although there was a lot of propaganda people are disappointed with poor service delivery Vs the county government levies. As for yesterday's presidential debate RAO did extremely well. But the issues he need to conclusively deal with and try to navigate is the "rent issue" and land issue. It might be his waterloo. Finally something being whispered in low tones is his religious leaning? where does he stand? That another small movement iko chini ya maji but is gaining traction with the Christians. For the other DR's and Professors AKA wenye kutafuta mbuzi they can join their comrades in lecture halls and give the much needed knowledge to our young generation. Kenya doesn't need theorists. I ENJOYED THE DEBATE @Sheri whats the issue with rent again? Am not getting the problem. He is Agnostic...Christians in this country have been some of the worst pretenders. @People on the ground are not getting his rationale on reducing rent to manageable levels. The question being " does Baba has his own houses so as to promise to reduce rent. The tenants are getting it very clearly, you just don't want to see their point of view A guy living in a slum in Nairobi who has not managed to get rent for August or has had to work hard to get that money,in a ballot booth with a choice between RAO and Uk,inside there alone,RAO words will echo in his head and TICK! The more the reason Uhuru should have showed up to provide counter argument. Africa belongs to Africans.

True, i really liked the way Raira handled the "kimundu" e.t.c with humor, lik a gentleman, a conciliatory approach unlike the boring, humorless odomos in wazua who whine and yell to admin about such simple jokes, he copied Uhuru charming style and maybe outdid him, very competently erasing a lot of the Raira phobia which makes people wake up at 6am to vote against him. He even painted the Kenyattas as the ones who eat with family members in garment and his family keeps off, wah! No need arguing that this was a major coup for Raira, he did very well, he was lucky, i congratulate him. Ras Kienyeji Man

Stop lying!! Raila is not agnostic. He's a Christian. An Anglican. Non believers are good people. They believe you can be good enough on your own. The Christian on the other hand believes only God's goodness and grace can make him good. So who is the pretender here? He was baptised as an Anglican(from his father's memoirs) and later by Owuor
