Berkshire is also in GE so GECAS the aviation arm is correlated to NetJets. We can ask Grandpa to intervene in this small issue (context) of ours?

Kshs. 230,000/= to Liberia on Economy class [Ethiopian Airlines] with stop overs in Addis Ababa and Abidjan???

Hii ni hujuma!!! @guka, how long would it take for you to drive someone to Monrovia?

KQ charges Kshs. 260,000/= and then puts you on the same plane Ethiopian Airlines will put you on in Addis! Nini hii???
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Warren Buffett said airlines face too many hurdles to be sustainably profitable. Myriad regulations, government interference, customers looking for the cheapest deals, etc...

Cash-strapped Kenya Airways has initiated talks with an airline from the Middle East in a bid to raise cash in exchange for equity.

Sources within the company also told Sunday Nation that the national carrier has abandoned midway its multi-billion project for the purchase of new Dreamliner jets.

This is said to be part of new measures the airline hopes will boost its struggle to get out of its current financial crisis.

Though the KQ management would not confirm or deny the engagement with a potential partner on Saturday, CEO Mbuvi Ngunze is on record saying that the airline is looking for a partner with deep pockets.

Would assume that in giving another airline their equity, first right of refusal would go to a Sky Partner. The Middle East partners are Middle East Airlines and Saudia.

These don't seem to be new issues, what this article highlights is what many commentators have recently been writing about. KQ addressing these issues and a bit of PR would be a step in right direction, remember customer's perception of a product definitely impact sales hence bottom line.
