Can someone confirm that both Onsongo and Keino of EACC were threatened with a gun at SLO by a senior guy from SLO,an MP who chairs a powerful committee and a presidential aide?

Seriously, how would you expect someone to confirm that?

Its in the papers

Quote:
Ms Keino on Wednesday revealed how she and former EACC Commissioner Jane Onsongo were summoned to a meeting by Solicitor-General Njee Muturi, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advisor on constitutional matters Abdikadir Mohammed and the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, Mr Samuel Chepkong’a and asked to quit.

Quote:
he Nation learnt that Prof Onsongo was also promised a job as Kenya’s deputy ambassador to the USA, based in Washington DC.

Prof Onsongo initially declined the offer but later changed her mind and announced her resignation late Wednesday.

Mr Matemu, was, however, not invited to the meeting. Sources close to Ms Keino said it was not the first time she had been asked to resign

In PD, it is claimed that a gun was placed on the table when asking the two to resign
Smart people

Quote:
The pressure started on Friday through Solicitor General Njee Muturi, Presidential adviser Abdikadir Mohamed and Parliament's Justice and Legal Affairs Committee chairman Samwel Chepkonga

Quote:
Njee spoke with Matemu and the latter reportedly demanded that all the money he had spent fighting court battles to ascend to the position be reimbursed and that he be cleared of any wrongdoing before he quits

@Swenani, that is exactly my query. What kind of confirmation could you be looking for? smile

These shenanigans are likely to render the otherwise laudable fight against corruption still born!

Good leadership approaches matters with tact and water tight gameplan.
If what is unfolding is anything to go by, the matter was handled in the most lousy manner imaginable!
Not to wonder then, if the accused turn around and accuse the Kenya Govt and succesfully claim damages!

How long do they require to conclude? They ought to give Kenyans all info about corruption and its high priests on real time basis. We must scare corruption away from our midst. Bring out those names, WIP or otherwise!!!

Nguli drags Uk into her land woees

Quote:
Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has sensationally claimed that President Kenyatta was deeply involved in two of the three land dealings that put her on the list of public officers under investigation for corruption.

Quote:
Mrs Ngilu said it was the President who offered to have the government pay Mr Waitiki Sh1.1 billion for the land. This took place, she said, during a meeting with Mr Waitiki at State House, Nairobi, in the presence of Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua. Mrs Ngilu was also present.

Quote:
After that, Mr Waitiki asked for Sh100 million more to cater for the costs of the cases against the government and legal fees due to his lawyers, she said.

“I communicated this request and a decision to up the offer by an additional Sh100 million was made by the President in my presence and that of Mr Rotich, the Treasury CS, on December 11, 2014.”

The decision was made on the sidelines of the Northern Corridor Integrated Projects summit at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, she said
