hardwood wrote:Nonsense. Do we have to tribalize everything? Celebrating Benja does not mean that he is great because he is a Luo or he is a Kenyan. There are many luos and Kenyans that are makaratasi. Heck it does not even mean that his family is great.... it's celebrating one aspect of his "being". By the way ethnic pride is not a bad thing (moved one step above becomes national pride and once step downwards is family pride). What is bad is looking down on others from what you consider your lofty position as an ethnic group/county/family and somehow considering yourself to be better than them simply because the ovarian lottery placed you in the womb of a woman from a certain ethnic group. His input has been integral to the rise of Shujaa. Just shows you how petty it is to reduce the win to a tribal affair.

By the way anyone who knows anything about Kenya rugby should be able to pin the current success to Geoffrey Kimani. Prior to him taking the Strength & Conditioning helm Rugby 7s used to be approached in a different perspective from a strength and conditioning angle. It was more athletic fitness, running distances and so the 7s players who were slimmer flourished. If you looked at the teams of before you would see this. He came and told people that they are not training for the marathon!! so he trained them for explosive play and quick recovery as opposed for endurance as was the previous mindset. Watu wakakula chuma and fast wingers like Ambaka were built up and thrown into what was a predominantly the slowest positions on the team (forwards). This worked wonders. Check out the physical form of "our hey days" compared with todays teams. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Boss, your just throwing theories out there The concept of strength and conditioning was introduced by the New Zealand guy who was on Mike Friday's ticket, can't remember his name but he was a full timer unlike Friday who came and went. Don't know where you came up with your theory. The current success should be shared by all coaching staff coz ultimately its a team effort and off course Benja being the boss and face of the coaching staff as expected gets most credit. However, rugby insiders have singled out Pablo (the assistant coach) who has introduced a culture of hard work to the team. The current team now completes their tackles and are rock solid on defence. PS. That team photo is from them days, seeing as Benja, Toti, Namcos, Mwanja were still playing "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins

How many "these people" were in the first line up in the whole series? huwa hatufanyi hizo hesabu!! Tutajibu watu walikuwa kwa hiyo pitch jana sio watu ambao the only thing wanajua about rugby ni kuangalia surnames za wachezaji na kujiuliza.... "Na huyo? Ni Kabila gani?" Anyway celebrating the Luo does not deduct anything from others. Kaleos have been winning medals for us like forever it does not diminish the candles of others... tuwache ujinga! Those 7 warriors wakiwa huko hawakuwa wanaFight for themselves or their ethnicities am very sure the country was at the back of their heads. so tuwache za ovyo! All Mushrooms are edible! Zero. After eating goats they are now evolving to goats and are to be seen eatimg muguka leaves and later on eat goats. In a few years they will be extinct as many are in prison and the few who are left engage in criminal activities eg Engineer Kamau and other thieves.Their women are to be seen demonstrating that they are not eaten
