@Fundamental ali and the other fundamentals on this board

If your children have bad manners,that is your fault not mine. Don't come here telling us how you have failed as a parent and expect sympathy from us. Ukae na shida zako na mavazi ya watoto wako.

@ectasy

Obi has given you a very good example of a police force that is well managed. All you can come up with is stupid comments that we have never run anything. You may be surprised if you dig deep enough. But do I say.

@ the dress code lunatics.

I have worked in companies everywhere in the world. It is only in Kenya where your boss (Pray its not one of these SK fanatics) can fire you for how you dress. Unless of course you are working for a fundamentalist christian boss in South Carolina with a chip on his back.

@Njunge

When your arguments have lost any semblence of coherent thought you go back to what you know best. Tribal abuse,fake age philosophy,anti- kenyan diasporan arguments. If you cannot come up with a logical point please save it for when you have some soap and privacy.

As much as I am against violence,it is plainly obvious that to the kenyan elite a good life means totally hammering anyone not agreeing with them.

I wonder what pleasure you take in the death of anyone. Even a thief deserves his time in court. However,it is plainly obvious that some on this board would rather have a few more dead people than taking the time to talk. If that woman had taken just an hour of her time to talk to the students,we would not be talking about any of this.

There is nothing special or different between a student now and a student of yesteryear. The same hormones still rage. It is only the best VC's who managed to manage these hormones. Naturally,this woman has failed in what all other college VC's have succeded in doing.

If she had taken the high road as the leader in KU and not the fashion police,we would still have those buildings and students who are still alive.

I am sorry to say,that ectasy you are right. This is an example of the PEV issue. Now you know what I think of your damn leaders and their failure to anticipate chaos and act with a measured response.
and @mnjoro you should start by blacklisting all student leaders who led strikes in colleges. kabando,orengo,etc etc. You are not as bright as you think.

@FundamentAlly.

Your post is interesting,you are tossing blame around like they are getting out of fashion.

Out of interest,where are you in all this. You are obviously not the student,nor the media. Which working part of our rotten society do you represent.

BTW,most students in public universities are hardworking,serious young men and women (average B+ in KCSE) and come from mainly lower middleclass and poor families.

They can't afford sagging jeans or boxers,they also can't afford drugs (even bhang' is relatively expensive),they would rather buy food and stick to the second hand clothes.

The young people you are referring to are in USIU and on MTV.

I guess if you can't win with facts,you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

@Wendz I am a she and that is as much about me you are ever going to get.......This dressing issue leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. When you can argue just as a rapist would,then you know you are on the wrong side of the argument.

@ Obi

Am no where in the whole picture. But I have a keen interest in the on goings in our country. Social issues do not know boundaries,tribes,level of eductaion,etc.. as we are made to believe. Social issue have their patterns. We deal with them,and we will have dealt with everyone.

Thats all i needed to know because it now helps me understand your posts and i will tell you why

1. Your posts are long - typically a lady
2. Your language was man(ish).... they tend not to care much about the words they drop hence may not be as refined as ladies.(for all the guys here - Hope you understand what i mean).
3. Your hateful language about the VC and reference to her with all sorts of names was more 'chauvinistic' so i thought that could be a hateful man
4. Sometimes letting your emotions run higher and clog your objective thinking (not always but its more a characteristic of a lady)

I hope you understand my confusion in understanding where you are coming from and hence my question. I do respect all your posts so dont take it personal.... we dont all dont have to come to one agreement.

@all before this degenarates into what I can see it leading to,let me be very clear on my stand.

Anyone who participated in burning property should be arrested and taken to jail. I have no time for violence response to anything.

However,I have learned in my time on this earth never to judge anything by its cover. I am more likely to try and figure out why a bad thing happened so that it never happens again. For those who have never been in business,that is what you need to do to make your business succeed.

In this particular case,I really do not see how that woman is not culpable for what has happened in that college. I just can't.

She let the police who are known to harass female students enter halls of residences. A first in Kenyan university riots.
She lied in public about the safety of her students. That would get her fired anywhere but in Kenya
She claimed she had no idea of the violence metted out on her students. That is a sure sign of ineptitude.

As much as I am for women in power,it is obvious this is not the woman to be left in charge of young people who are in a mob. This hooligans had planned to make a stink and this woman just added fuel to that fire. Only in Kenya can she be supported.

As we speak,your police have killed someone else today. I mean....come on! No one is talking to anyone else. As long as we don't take the time to talk,I am sorry to say,KU is just the beginning of some serious social issues that are coming to Kenya.

And Wendz no worries but I type as much as I do coz I can do it. lol. I will keep the next posts short but this woman just annoys me to no end.
