Cons on KQ shares
1. No dividend up to 2030 and beyond. Earliest possibly 2032
2. Capitalization is not assured. GoK can fail to secure the funding based on the KQ books, which are not desirable in current state.
3. If strategic investment is not secured. Nationalization will be the only other real possibility and the same will lead a share suspension, followed by delisting, with a payout sum to be solely determined by GoK
4. Fly Ethiopia are doing major things at Bole. Times have changed for the Pride of Africa
5. Boeing being the preferred fleet type for KQ, is facing acute supply challenges, with new delivery backlog stretching to 2033. It means the existing fleet will continue to age, and MRO shall be costly
6. A1 fuel spike is incoming, thus assured reduction in operating margins, a depressed H1 2026

Pros on KQ

1. Only 1 large bird, the 787 remains out of service. In Jun 2026, the 777 returns from Turkish, and is already being prepped and recoated with KQ livery
2. It is unlikely, near-impossible for KQ to turn a full year profit in 2026, but 2027 should be a good year with the World Cup inflows and possible travel stabilization post war
3. With confirmed stoppage of the Open Offer for minority shareholders, the USD 500,000,000 capital injection is the only critical play left on the KQ share
4. If you are unable to hold mid-term, say two to three years, you should have sold yesterday or nearest date to yesterday
5. In case you are liquid and able to go long haul, proceed to add new stock/average down at any price below KES 8.68, noting that the KQ share may give you more returns than you ever dreamed about.
6. Watch and learn

KQ doesn't have the financial muscle to acquire new planes so the supply challenges facing Boeing is an excuse

May be he exited raia zingine zibaki holding the sharp end of the knife!!!

And the fundamentals for KQ and Kenya Power are like day and night!!

Most shareholders wa KQ huwa the positive bias crew na pseudo econometricians. As KQ shareholder, you are either busy hoping only good things happen or busy mapping what might or might not happen "some time in the future" and how it might or might not affect the share and the company!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@Obiero - Of course I would never buy KQ shares but may be finally you should kufa na KQ!

Ndindi Nyoro bought 10,396,251 shares making him the second largest individual shareholder! That nigga don't miss!! Dude does his homework and analysis of companies! He is not a speculator. He must be onto something. New investors or whatever. Personally I don't want to know what it is coz there is no way I am getting caught up and in any case I have a number of stocks lined up to buy as money comes starting with loading up on even more Equity!!

Thika MP has also loaded up but I don't know what his deal is. I am not informed on his investments history and strategy so I will not put much weight on his buying!!

Hats off to Ndindi Nyoro!!!

That nigga don't miss!!!

...and to @Obiero...on principle.

@Obiero is simultaneously telling people to buy and sell the same shares including KQ etc. At the same time. He moves to one thread, recommendeds shares to buy then moves to the other thread immediately and tells people to sell the same shares!!

Market is open every working day. Learn to read charts to help you understand stock floors and ceilings, ebbs and flows. Remember I am a trader. This is the fourth time that I have sold my shares in KQ, and it won't be the last. But I could also buy, if the price moves below KES 4.00. Fair value remains KES 8.68..Keep lamenting about other people's money. Its a free world 😆

That I understand. But yours is at exactly the same time. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I click Thread x, is see you recommend people buy a certain bunch of shares at time t. I click the next thread, I see you recommended people sell the same bunch of shares at time t + 2 minutes.

Within a span of two minutes, you recommend people buy and also recommended people sell THE SAME SHARES! Not the following month, not the following week, not the following day!! Within a time span of approx. TWO MINUTES of each other!!!

Use this reply as your most recent updated post from senior chief Obiero. KQ is a buy at any price below KES 8.68, while it is also a sell for anyone who is enjoying over 100% return, with the aim being actualising the current rapid capital gains. This is a risky stock, so a decent trader should have entry and exit targets. I hope this is simple enough to understand but if you require further tuition, I am available
