I am driving back to nairobi and i have like 600 unread whatsapp messages.

Scrolling through them, 2 words. Nyamira and Bungoma. Transzoia votes with Bungoma trend.

So far the two have gone against prediction. Everything else as expected.

Western and Kisii letting you down badly. Nairobi and Mombasa are the counties to watch now. Msa had 66% turnout in 2013 waiting for the numbers

You mean the Tokyo principal alikuja mkono mtupu? He did not come with the Bungoma votes?

Small polling stations generally complete polling and counting before others. it's generally some watering holes, cattle dips somewhere that return first. larger stations have more dynamics - people still in the queue. more disputes e.t.c.
Good job so far to "hai hi mbi sii".

it's too early to celebrate or commiserate... you can start doing that from 30%... that is what I normally do!

30% is usually the press conference time

After sending a couple of rapid updates, there've been no new presidential numbers for more than an hour now. Seems a little odd to be honest.

There was a foreign correspondent who asked a question I believe was valid and may have advised them to stop steaming.

He asked why tallying was ongoing yet voting was still happening some areas. He averred this could influence those still voting.Just thinking.
