In Kirinyaga, all the 4 sitting Mpigs have lost miserably and in Keiyo, of 18 MCAs, only one has been re-elected. It's massacre! Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

KIRINYAGA GUBERNATORIAL RESULTS: So far, Anne Waiguru has a total of 173,014 votes. The incumbent Joseph Ndhathi has 19,078 out of the 313 polling stations. 2 more to go.

And these governors loosing their sits in these strongholds(which is as good as them going home officially), how will they manage the office between now and August? Are there measures in place to ensure they don't steal even more?

I think the old system where parliament was dissolved worked right so that access to some of these offices was restricted from the outgoing mps.
