The tax will make mexican goods uncompetitive. Meaning americans will buy more of american goods, keeping money and jobs in america. Imagine if kenya had slapped huge taxes on chinese dry batteries, it would have meant that kenyans would still be buying locally produced eveready batteries keeping the money and jobs in kenya.
@hardwood you dont understand the dynamics of the american economy. The farms in america grow stuff like wheat, corn, barley potatoes...the other stuff like tomatoes dhania kale etc ie mboga = chakula ya kila siku, comes from Mexico.
One time the health department had stopped taking in dhania from mexico coz they went there on a routine check to inspect the farms and found some workers had defecated in one of the farms, dhania or cilantro prices went as high as $3 a bunch These roadside emotional declarations will only hurt Americans. Trump cant even tell you where what he feeds people in his hotels comes from.
Americans will pay 2 times for this stupid fence. 1 with their income tax, 2 with their VAT. Mexico can choose to slap the same tax to American goods, seriously what does america make that is not made in China and EU Japan? Why is he not passing the same bile to Canada>? Theres a boarder up there too
