Better talk about SuGaR in this specific post

As for Mkonomptupu "Jubilee also had a plan to rescue tourism and we all know how that ended"

I am not aware it ended. I still see work in progress. I am here to invest, not to sell Jubilee manifesto smile You know some people must oppose each and everything

Kwani nowadays you cannot have a contra opinion otherwise you are branded to be opposing everything every where?

Hope is not an investment strategy. investors also bought into TPS serena in the hope of a tourism revival so don't put your hope in politicians. But its okay you can keep getting an increasing share of a shrinking company or invest in something with a future.

1 million invested in mumias at 49 is now worth 39k...ni hayo tu

Good advise indeed. There are many value companies with good returns. I haven't heard any wazuan confess they bought MSC at 49. And I said before valuation based on fundamentals stopped to work here, thus I cannot make a boarding call. But it is difficult not notice egregious price movements eg. 1.3 to 2 gives a cool 47% if you don't get trapped !!!

Silent prayers for the departingPray Pray Pray

Quote:
Sugarcane farmers and unionists have warned that Mumias Sugar Company may not reopen after Christmas despite the miller’s management insisting that it will....Kuspaw secretary-general Francis Wangara said security firms, utility providers and cane transporters, are some of the firms that have since withdrawn their services...“It will be difficult to resume operations, unless the debts are paid. Even if they force their way, the creditors will still bring them down,” he said.“The government should loan the miller cash from the fund. It is surviving by the grace of God,” said Mr Ogendo.

my brother/sis, they have been reviving pan paper for ages. Don't trust GOK plans. They are purely political.Of course they may attempt a time close to the next general elections. But it may be too late.

Good Morning Njung'e, kindly elaborate on which trials.

Going by the bills I see for domestic use I am sure if a factory can cut off KPLC completely and succeed to be self-reliant they would save a lot of money. Probably 30%. Imagine what this could do for the bottom line.

Do they still have the power purchase agreement with KPLC for KPLC buying power????
The biggest issue with Mumias is lack of enough cane and useless and clueless management who are thieves!!!!!
