But thats Kenyan way of looking at things, minds were made when the candidates picked their parties. Its no longer important who can do a good job, whats important now is the maintenance of tribal egos. @ Obi, you are spot on. I cannot think of a better way to sum this debate. What is worrying is that even educated folks such as wazuans (there are professors and phds here) cannot let common sense prevail on an issue where the choice is as clear as day and night. My fellow Kenyans, common sense has been defeated and we are in lots of trouble. Between Nyong' Nyong'o & Ngilu & Beth Mugo who had a more successful tenure on MOH?

Waititu Has an impresive record serving the people through "Instant Justice".
His Costituency CDF was ranked 5th Nationally. He put up 11 Secondary schools, 6 primary schools and 4 maternity hospitals many of which we put up on formally grabbed land.
Kidero is disconnected with reality and a CEO that Nairobi doesnt need. He is the Governor for the 20% of the Nairobian and Waititu is the Governor for the 80%.

lol! kidero apologists blowing fuses n attacking waititu. We had a professor for medical services. Tell kidero to take that ka~cv of his to wherever he came from. 1. A boardroom thief vs a pple's servant. 2. One of the worst public company managers vs one of the best CDF managers (5th best) 3. One arrogant guy vs a humble one. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

Clearly, the middle class had swallowed the hook, line and sinker about Nairobi needing a CEO/ Manager..
I didnt see any CEO/ Manager in Kidero. I saw a braggart who should pick up his golf clubs and head to the nearest tee off.
I was impressed by YT2's knowledge of the city and what ails it.
The arrogance and condenscending attitude did not seem to end....
At some point Julie had to wonder whether Kidero was going to utter any other name other than Clifford !
That said, i think going forward we should learn no to believe people at first impressions and neither what is peddled in papers and social media.

Great article. TPK, now that would be quite something - Dictatorship of The Proletariat coming into play GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

Eeeh, Kidero is plain arrogant.. Even as Mumias CEO he is plain arrogant. Not a public servant for sure. I am quite surprised he grew up in Majengo.. Waititu is not saint but it looks like we have little choice after he trounced Jimnah! ....above all, to stand.

He came out looking cool, composed and extremely dedicated to his cause.
By asking Kidero questions about his integrity he came out like someone who has studied his opponent and isn't taking him for granted.
In other words, he's more prepared than the fellow who thinks calling someone else Clifford is a political milestone.
Nairobi needs a mayor perhaps better than Bloomberg, in any case yt2 is not composed when physically assaulting innocent people on camera. The issue with land is purely a Mumias sugar company issue that went through the board of directors! Perhaps we will soon see city council allocations when waititu was a Councillor and see who is a real public land grabber. Kidero was caught off guard by this ridiculous and unexpected ignorant, unsupported "masufferer-like" "land" onslaught from a city council mole, unlike what politically savvy yt2 made it appear (that he was caught off-guard on his ignorance), yt2 knows everything about city plot allocations, why did he not name anybody unlike EK who stated what he knows. EK uses clifford because the degree certificate itself is genuine but the holder is not, one western Kenya candidate confessed that "this USA degree certificate is fake but the other is not" in reference to the certificates but not the holder, an affront to the constitutional IEBC loophole. "Present a genuine degree certificate". Did the board meet and sanction the sale of the land to Kaplony Ltd?Please, have all the facts relating to the transaction before you post.If you look at last years EACC,it may help and if the board met as you allege, what was his input?

kdr is all talk, when he was trying to sell his skills at bringing in international investors, julie reminded him that even as of now most companies are relocating to nairobi despite having the likes of yt2, sonko, bmw, ka ngumu and the mayor in town. political ledership has nothing to do with corporate ceo skills - otherwise mitt romney would have won the presidency with a landslide
