My Summary

Kerubo is Wanjiku's sacrificial lamb.
She acted on behalf of us. Bravo.

UNFORTUNATELY!!!

Kenya doesnt regard sacrificial lambs! After the pomp and celebration we let them languish in poverty!

I would like to see somebody probably a high office employ her for her Intergrity. That would be justifiable and rewarding.

I think we reason the way we do because of past lessons.Nobody Cares if u were a lamb meant for slaughter. The society is mean and harsh.
They will clap and sing but leave u out in the cold.

Am damn sure that if Kerubo opened a thread here asking for fees to help take care of her kids very few will respond.
But hey isn't she our hero?
We just dont know how to look after them.
Honestly I do not condone bribe takin as such.I just wish that her life can be stable after all this hype.
Somwhere else, this Kerubo would have been celebrated and honoured.

Very True.

How would this be different if Kerubo was pinched by another Wanjiku?
She would have sought for justice and won.... and continued with her job. This is the case even now. She still has a job and life continues as normal. She should not look to gain because the person who pinched her nose can afford a fat bribe...like many Kenyans are saying here.

But she has saved many people who would possibly have received a lot of injustice from infamous Justice Baraza. Imagine ...maybe innocent "small" people like you and me being sent to jail, or the corrupt and criminals rich and high in society going scot-free....thanks to her perceptions or warped views.

If some people decide to recognize Kerubo and promote her...that will be an added advantage.

It is true we have no reached where some countries are... to recognize our true heroes...but in those societies where they do this.... the respect they get and recognition is more than money to them (I doubt they get any financial gifts anyway). I guess we are heading there ....when we (middle class) start appreciating such people as our heroes...and stop giving or taking bribes.

If wanjiku had pinched her issues of bribe would not have arisen because there's nothing to protect.
They would have fought each other and ended up in cells.

TV said she lost her job after this case came into the limelight.

I want KACA to employ her.smile

Interesting how we've all suddenly developed a conscience online.Somebody here mentioned integrity vs reality. All of you who are appalled by reality should get off their moral high horse and take a good long look in the mirror. Most here have either bribed or been bribed, got their job through bribery or nepotism and have been/still are corrupt.Truth is the system is messed and we need to fix that first.A G4S watchie once told me he survives on loans and after all deductions takes home 5k net from a salary of 12k-he is married with 3 kids and works for 14hrs daily.Integrity wont put ugali on my table and neither will someone telling me to do the right thing from their ipad or sh80k laptop so maybe am bewitched but imo under the circumstances that would be the "right" thing to do.

She won't go away in peace. Her lawyers are to appeal tomorrowSad .....while the DPP says she should be prosecuted.....I am surprised she is not ready to salvage what little respect remains of her.

DPP gives nod for Baraza's prosecution... very soon the former DCJ , will find herself arraigned before a magistrate who a few months ago was her junior by far .. sounds like a movie

I may put the guards well being first, but i would be more honest if i said i cared about my personal well being in the courts in the hands of these judicial officers in the event i find myself in their chambers.

If i am guilty of being selfishly thrilled to have only professional officers working in the judiciary, i will not want it otherwise.

i wont loose sleep over a distant guards affairs truth be told (and i will sleep soundly), but i sure will if justice on my case is influenced with money.
