Offcourse below 10bob there will be some demand becoz everybody is a looser but above 11 will meet alot of resistance...it will eventually break going down to 6

It will go down to 6 or below and will remain same for couple of months.

People want to cash in their money (old dead balance)they can really spoil the market.

I am now done with my purchases of Uchumi average buy price 10.181 minimum holding period 5 years. Thank you former uchumi shareholders it's been a pleasure doing business with you.

Now let me wait and see if GoK will sell its stake or behave like the Zim government and stop the South African supermarket giant, Pick 'n Pay Stores Ltd, march north

10 bob looks like a fair price considering this is the price for the conversion of debentures. NAV at 31.12.10 was Kshs 6.41 (after adjusting for the new shares). The projected EPS of Kshs 0.92 (as per the abridged circular to shareholders published in th DN on May 28) is rather disappointing. To be fair, it does have an element of taxation as compared to the previous years' results.

The analyst says Uchumi valuation is difficult since its the only retailer in the bourse.Thats why sometime I dont listen to these analyst how do they value KQ then or EABL?

Or Unga, HFCK (vs universal banks), Centum, Rea (sisal), Crown Berger, etc!

am optimistic especially about uganda and it's oil reserves i think that's the future of retail sector just look at Ghana things are looking bright. I have limited uchumi to 22% of total portfolio so any negativity will be limited.

I'm more worried if Uhuru imposes the capital gains tax on thursday

=> I see U man. I follow closely @ 10.25. Btw that Pick n' Pay deal affects us @ Meikles, TM Supermarkets. That is a USD 13M injection we are expecting in exchange for a further 24% to bump up their stake in TM to 49%. Btw Google a retailer called OK Zimbabwe. they just released their full yr results. Uthapenda! Power of retail!
