Without intra-Africa and international transfers to shore up the regional numbers then it is hard for them to be profitable and remain as a viable Airline which can compete. They have just started...Lets see how it pans out... Losses will abound. Both for TZ and UG. What EAC needs is a single "national" airline that serves this part of the world well. Establish an airline and divide ownership and executive positions amongst the three member states. But with the pride that comes with ownership of a national airline,my guess is the member states won't agree to such an arrangement. That would work... possunt quia posse videntur

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-04/kenya-airways-seeking-more-sway-in-alliance-with-air-france-klmKenya Airways Plc is looking to renegotiate a 24-year long partnership with Air France-KLM to gain more control over their cost and revenue-sharing deal and the ability to make agreements with other airlines. There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Far more sensible BUT the EAC Airline should be operated on commercial terms. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Jambojet can take a lot of this market share with open skies, I'm watching it closely..
