The article is dated 2nd Sep 2019. I hope the issue has been fixed.

You and I know that the Deloitte report is dated.. Media simply wants to sensationalize the KQ stories as it is catchy

For once let me side with KQ ...There was actually no issue in regards to this...Whatever loophole that was there was properly sorted. I don't know why the Star is keen on reporting of such outdated issues instead on focusing on current matters affecting the airline.

The part where I bash at Corporate communication. Most pathetic pieces of c***s in the business.

That unit is a big part of KQ problems. Even the JKIA takeover was mishandled. They should have kept it on the low for the longest time possible and/or spun that expose big time when it came out

Biased investigation. What about Aircraft acquisition especially the E190 and how the loans were procured?

Also fuel procurement?

Uganda not worth talking about. Without intra-Africa and international transfers to shore up the regional numbers then it is hard for them to be profitable and remain as a viable Airline which can compete.

KQ CEO and managing director Sebastian Mikosz, also announced that the airline was no longer interested in pushing to run JKIA. The airline withdrew the proposed Privately Initiated Investment Proposal (PIIP)."

Losses will abound. Both for TZ and UG.
What EAC needs is a single "national" airline that serves this part of the world well.

Establish an airline and divide ownership and executive positions amongst the three member states.
But with the pride that comes with ownership of a national airline,my guess is the member states won't agree to such an arrangement.
