Its sad that the world offers free education everyday but some people simply choose to ignore valuable lessons and would rather continue with their lazy ways.

The London Metro police has been preparing for the G7 summit,they expect the biggest gathering of anti-establishment groups,from anti-globalist,to pro-environmentalist,anti-capitalist,anti-americans,communists etc,but the most feared group are the anarchists and they are in town. All this groups are expert demonstrators and rouble rousers.

They expect peacefull demonstrations which they have largely sanctioned,but they also anticipate violent protests,especially from the anarchists. They are on record saying that the protests (Note the use of the word protests and not protestors) have a way of acquiring a life of their own and turning violent.

The steps they are taking include standing guard along the protest routes,de-congesting the city. barricading high value targets including the glass windows of most buildings on the route.

My good friends,this is called management,its much better than using live ammo on unarmed people.

Why can't Ali just watch TV and learn how to do his job.

@Wendz,your wild unsubstantiated allegation that the student was shot by another reek of desperation. In any case,does it make you feel any better about the death.

I guess if you can't win with facts,you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

@ Mr. Tea

You talk of passing life lessons to the young. Well,this is it. It is in such forums that we hope they read our dissenting views and learn tolerance.

I hope some of the elderly also pick up a few lessons.

Sigh...how in all honesty can one compare the G7 protests and the KU riots??...for starters the G7 protests are anticipated,the KU riots were not!! Talk of putting up barricades when the buildings with students in them are already on fire..That dramatically changes the crowd handling mechanisms...try the LA riots in the 'civilised' US..that is more apt..Investigations will identify circumstances that led to the student shooting and by who. Next.

@Obi

dont believe everything you read.... check your dates.........

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

@Ecstacy

Keep it simple,its all about people management.

No wonder you are still stuck in the PEV cycle,now I get it.

There is a huge world in between a protest and a riot....or maybe not.Let's get it.Did the students inform the police of the intended riot so that the police could organise to line around the buildings just in case the riot turned out to be peaceful?

Mr. Tea. You put it well. I do not generally agree with you on real property issues but on this one yes.

What does one tell a fresh student reporting to KU- that you can have a you-do-me- i- do you with the police and administration?

You should see the clothes they wear. A young man with a trouser belted below his bums proudly showing off his boxer shorts. His sister is wearing a low cut jeans with nothing beneath. When the two sit down,you have the most disgusting scene in the world. Our dear old lecturer can only look in disbelief. He lives with it day in and day out. He has no respect for his students from the word go. This is not the most conducive of enviroments for a lecturer student relationship.

Within the campus,you cannot tell the number of drug peddlers. My guess is they are a couple. One wonders why drug peddlers are never arrested. It is as if there are no drugs in our country. I support coastal people taking the law unto their hands to deal with drug dealers.

The media is also to blame. For a student to set alight a residence block while there are people inside the building shows how things have gone bad. Our media is sensational. They will show any scene. Dead bodies,people bleeding,wailing relatives,people burning alive,and you can add to the list. You cannot stop them. They are a free press with no responsibilities. They do not understand the effect of their actions. Kenyans no longer value life thanks to them. Yet,they are very good at doing a rejoinder when such events occur. Shame on them.

It has also been said that our family units are breaking down. The effect is that the number of vichwa gumu has gone up. The kids cannot obey any rules or anyone for that matter.

You know guys we aught not honour these dudes by discussing them,Much as most of us are not old enough we are helping them with pocket money and other sustainance.i believe even after riots they normally stay with us cause they can,t afford transport home leave alone proudly saying they can,t fit the social life there.I suggest anyone housing University students to start reprimanding them.I don,t expect they would riot at us too.

How about blacklisting employment
