They(Cord) put fingers in their asses when they started recruiting foreigners to tender for technology behind Govt and IEBC so that the same technology could be manipulated in their favour.
Could you imagine a lawyer like Orengo walking in with foreigners in a meeting for commissioners?
He was asked who are these?
Opposition has no chance in 2017 as majority seem going for Uhuruto they know than what we do not know.
Mudavadi will again screw Raila and Kalonzo. He will frighten Wiper and FordKenya

Cord are not yet defeated however they will surely lose if their hooligans start rioting and burning vehicles and people's property.

Outvoted in parliament, outvoted in senate (26-10 in senate and i have been wondering where the other Cord senators were)......but since it did not go Raila's way, the streets are the better institution than parliament and senate. Let's go and meet Nkaiserry there. Kwani iko nini?

So, Mama mboga's fingerprint will not be recognised by the EVID but the BVR will not have a problem registering her ?

there are 3 types of people

1) people who the IEBC does not have biometrics for due to loss of data during registration - machines crash e.t.c. and cannot recover e.t.c..
2) people who they could not collect fingerprints for in the beginning - the 4-4-2 scanners could not just extract fingerprints from them.

for 1 and 2 see this list http://www.iebc.or.ke/in...without-bimoetrics-list
3) people who enroll using those 4-4-2 scanners and cannot be verified using others because of the degradation of state of their biometrics between registration day in 2013 and 2017. these are workers who do lots of stone work, work with oils or people who are under chemotherapy <-- this number is unknown

Thanks masukuma for the clarification.

Is there a way to offer assurance to the cord guys that manual backup is not equal to rigging ?

I ask because cord has been alleging 2M voters only voted for president and not other posts. When I checked the IEBC data, turns out the figure wasn't correct and indeed the biggest discrepancy was in meru county for 5,000 votes only.

But you and i know in politics, the perception is what matters. Facts and reality don't count.

Thats where the 4th estate comes in. Question these allegations that cordoo have vs the argument presented by masukush. I mean, we have these people in society right? People without limbs, watu wa kuchonga mawe...cancer patients undergoing chemo..these people exist, but the jonalists are too busy running behind these politicians trying to kiss a$$

if I can't be identified using biometrics, can i be searched in a database application using my ID number instead of being searched in a big black book?

we shall see what procedures IEBC has HOWEVER - from the top of my head, this is how it will work (based on Ghanian model)
1) you show up - you submit your ID... it's entered to the EVID and the data that belongs to that person is loaded i.e. "identified" and asks for a fingerprint to "verify"
2) if you submit a fingerprint and cannot be read and cannot be "verified" agents and observers are called in and say you are indeed the person and thus you get a form filled and attested by present agents. (if they take my proposal - this should be done also on the EVID by submission of some more data like serial number of ID and then a snapshot of the person is taken - this data should be periodically uploaded and available to all stakeholders so ideally 2 photos (the old VR photo) side by side the new taken photo should give people some transparency).
3) you vote.

the PHYSICALLY PRINTED REGISTER (generated from the same data loaded into EVID) should only be used when EVIDS ARE NOT WORKING! if IEBC has a process in place to keep them running.

Thanks. Yes, opinion pieces have a word count limit - so my flowery style of explaining stuff had to be replaced by a much more targeted language.

Is it possible for you to give us an argument/explanation for the 'opposing view'?
