Lets for a moment be sober. Does anyone think that some two gentlemen can Topple the Government of Kenya. I think the government does not just want anyone to demonstrate in the streets. This was the same language that we used to hear during the Nyayo days.

The venezuelan riots currently breaking down Caracas were initiated by a bunch of students.

For some strange reason, Kenya has held on together despite the USAID attempts to take it towards the Venezuela route.

The Venezuelan rioters are quite daring, as can be seen in the pic above.

you seriously believe that unsaid has or wants to topple the government? shouldn't that be left for conspiracy brothers and sycophants?

@mkenyan, its good to look at issues with an open mind. The USA has done regime changes in other countries so there could be a posibility. The Kenyan Govt needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt on the USAID allegations. The possibilities could be real since it has happened elsewhere.
US gains much from the Kenyan peaceful situation so they would not really want to break the country apart but if they find that regime change/civil unrest benefits them, they will effect it since they have the knowhow and capacity and experience to achieve this.

@mkenyan, check these countries below, which USA has initiated regime change

http://en.wikipedia.org/...gn_regime_change_actions

The harsh realitiy is that this happens so we cant bury our heads in the sand on the possibilities of this happening to our country.
The onus to prove this inteference lies with the Kenya govt, of which they have at least fired the 1st shot, which could be real or imagined.

Are we still discussing this..

USAID is a direct arm of the US government. So it has to tune its operations to the policies of Washington which are nothing but, having a government as friendly to the US as possible.
Washington changed tact along time ago over how to topple governments, they don't send the CIA with secret weapons to assassinate, or arm rag tag militias. That was the 60's 70's and 80's

Nowdays the 'change' has to be seen to come from within...but for the interest of the Washington
Anybody here ever read or connected the Republican Institute and its manoeuvres in Egypt? http://goo.gl/dVL70T
The democratic Institute?

Any think tank you know of acts to the advantage of its mother country. no matter how humanitarian it programmes.

If it doesn't happen that way then, internal divisions would be the best option and that is why i laugh when i hear Kimems saying two or 3 people want to topple the GoK.

I have stated before. It would not take much for any world power to maliza us, we are already disintegrated enough as a nation, our only binding factor is poverty.

The Northern Frontiers (Turkana, Pokot, Marsabit etc) are ripe for conflict all you need is to arm a few militia there and have them declare semi autonomy
Northern Kenya can simply be left to Alshabaab to keep KDF busy.
Coast is already a powder keg ready for direction, Pwani si Kenya, Al shabaab etc
Western Kenya would be all too glad to have semi autonomous status if money came in from somewhere.. That leaves Kenya just around Nairobi.

So seriously, breaking up this country does not need street demos. If the world powers decided it has to be. It will be.

The problem here is GoK insiders (wenye nchi) and the real world powers are trying to strike a balance.
I am thinking the West is saying, "If you must eat, Eat within our circles and influence' while Kitchen cabinet thinks there are cookies even in the East, North, South, Inside... so waachwe wakule!

while we (our politicians) work for short term (every election cycle, 5-10yrs) gains as Individuals (family) in Afrika. the think tanks work for the longterm benefits of their businesses and countries.. 20 years. 40 years.. etc

The protestors did not fit the profile of Baba sympathisers, so another scapegoat had to be found, enter USAID
