I think this article fails to say that The payments were like a premium where NHIF pays a certain amount of money to Clinix so as to offer services to a certain number of Civil servant for a certain period...once that period expires the money also is not refunded...also the money covers all types of treatment so even if those who are covered exceed the amount paid Clinix cannot claim for extra.

Now the catch is that Clinix is not well known and its clinics are not well distributed which means they wuld serve very few civil servants making free money...from those who dont turn up.

..I have been feeding off scraps in regards to this saga and also don't have time to google/search so i may not have the full picture, however according to what i have been reading then i think the scheme was always bound to fail even before it begun

The NHS system in the UK is in shambles largely due to the system NHIf was trying to implement whereby the GP'S (general practioner's) are paid £65 per head p/a however what resulted is the GP'S went overdrive in registering patients, still have dead patients in the records and it became next to imposible to get "quality care" from the GP'S as they were keen to cap the £65 cost per head per year resulting to some of us going to private clinics and paying for the services even though healthcare is free in this country but i think the defenition varies from person to person.

So if some-one thought this would work in Kenya, the issues plaguing the system here would just be a tip knowing how "innovative" many of us back home are. Interesting i must say

I got to ask in the whole country no-one has the capacity to think of a system that is functional/practical and would benefit the whole populace the best we can do is copy one that is on it's death-bed!! shame shame

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Yes he is, but he looks like a stone crusher from Vihiga hills!
Physically he doesn't look like a schooled chap!
