KK is ahead of Safcom on that Who is painstakingly writing down billions of lost fuel revenues? Safcom or kk. Who is at unease with trade partners for systems gone haywire? Ofcoarse kk. @ Angelica, naelewa Christmas Carols are in the air and may have some level of influence on your logic centre but sooner or later u will be in perspective and know that, at kk, celebration time are a mile away and with uncertainties altogether. ,Behold, a sower went forth to sow;....

@vvs u made mi night anyway. But if u find out that your debtor is not going to sortout your debt, do you first comfort your self 50% it may be paid 50% may not or you write off?. But its already obvious it was a bad deal, kk was not doing derivatives (hedging or futures or options) with GK. How long has it taken your 'impeccable' boss to realise that. Stop pulling peoples legs soothing them that you just realised to provide only to drop the bombshell belatedly. Hizi skills za big cats twasijijua. A well said word in time is better than a false promise. ,Behold, a sower went forth to sow;....

Total has sued GoK/KPRLand hopefully a decision is reached soon but this is Kenya therefore the debt owed by KPRL (to KK) is being provided for. The provision doesn't negatively affect (operating) profits or cashflow. It's an accounting entry and the reported EPS (but not cash) will take a hit. Perhaps even a benefit as a basis for tax relief. Predates Ohana's time as CEO of KK. So... what's your point? Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
